Who is the mentorship for?
My mentorship program aims to help both aspiring artists looking to explore the realms of creature & concept design, as well as seasoned professionals aiming to further refine their craft or elevate and specialize their skills.

What are the learning outcomes of the program?
Mentees will help develop a solid foundation in creature and concept design principles; both in understanding realistic anatomy anatomy, and how to apply them in an aesthtically pleasing manner. Enhance their proficiency with relevant software tools, and receive unique personalized feedback to improve their artwork and portfolio.

What is the format and schedule?
The mentorship offers a flexible feedback system where tasks are assigned based on the mentees specific goals and abilities. Assignments are customized accordingly, and are then evaluated through recorded sessions where they receive drawovers, feedback, and guidance aimed at enhancing their artwork and fixing blindspots.

How long as the feedback sessions
Each feedback session will last a minimum of 30 minutes, though may go on longer if drawovers and feedback needs to be a bit more tailored or intense.

How do I become a student?
Enrolling in the mentorship program is simple. Visit Sam’s Ko-Fi account here and sign up to the Mentorship Tiers (either monthly or weekly depending on the frequency of feedback you would like to receive).

Why do you user Ko-Fi for Mentorship?
Ko-fi offers a few benefits for both myself and the mentee.

• Firstly, it operates an automated system, effectively reducing the administrative burden on my end and allowing for more focused attention on providing feedback and guidance.

• Secondly, using a platform such as Patreon, Ko-fi ensures that a larger cut of your payment goes directly towards the mentorship service itself, without excessive additional fees or cuts taken by third-party platforms.

• Lastly, but more importantly, platforms like Patreon have a universal policy of automatically applying VAT (Value-Added-Tax) to all users. However, as a member of the EU, VAT shouldn’t be levied on clients outside of the European Union. Ko-Fi allows me to remove VAT instead of charging it to everyone.
  SIMPLY PUT: This reduces the cost dramatically for non-EU mentees.
